Credit Controller Manager – Middle East

About the role

The Credit Controller Manager leads the credit control and accounts receivable function across the Middle East region. The role ensures effective credit risk management, timely collection of customer receivables, optimized cash flow and compliance with company credit policies. It works closely with Sales, Customer Service, Operations and Finance teams. The position is based on site in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Credit risk management: develop and maintain regional credit control policies, review and approve credit applications and limits within delegated authority, monitor credit exposure and recommend actions to reduce bad debt.
• Accounts receivable and collections: lead collection activities, monitor aged debt reports, resolve billing disputes and escalate matters including legal recovery where required.
• Team leadership: lead and coach the regional credit control team, set performance expectations, support succession planning and foster accountability and collaboration.
• Stakeholder engagement: partner with Sales, Customer Service and Operations, build relationships with key customers and advise business leaders on credit matters.
• Reporting and compliance: prepare regular reports on collection performance, aged receivables, DSO, bad debt and credit risk, support audits and keep accurate customer account records.
• Continuous improvement: drive process improvements, automation and system enhancements, and promote standardization across the region.

Required profile

• Minimum 7-10 years' experience in credit control, accounts receivable or credit risk management.
• Minimum 3 years' experience leading and developing teams.
• Experience managing credit and collections operations across multiple Middle East countries.
• Experience in B2B services, manufacturing, utilities or related industries preferred.

Required skills

• ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or similar.
