About the role

The Customer Service Associate – Chilled Section plays a key role in delivering an exceptional shopping experience within the chilled food department. You will ensure high standards of food quality, freshness and presentation while providing friendly, professional service to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting shoppers, providing accurate product information, and handling basic enquiries and complaints.
• Maintain chilled product availability, replenish stock throughout trading hours and keep displays attractive and well‑organized.
• Monitor product freshness, expiry dates and shelf life, apply FIFO stock rotation and promptly remove damaged or expired items.
• Uphold food safety standards and M&S merchandising guidelines, ensuring the chilled section remains clean and visually appealing.
• Support waste reduction and operational excellence by tracking stock levels and reporting any issues.
