Cyber Security Manager

About the role

A confidential opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cyber Security Manager to join a regulated financial services organization in Dubai. The role focuses on building a secure, resilient, and compliant environment while maintaining business agility.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the organization’s cyber security agenda and security governance framework.
• Ensure alignment with UAE Central Bank (CBUAE) regulatory and cyber security expectations.
• Partner with Technology, Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit and business leadership.
• Maintain appropriate cyber security controls without slowing innovation.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, risk assessments and control frameworks.
• Oversee cyber risk identification, remediation and reporting.
• Support regulatory examinations, audits and remediation programmes.
• Manage security incidents and ensure effective response and recovery.
• Embed security into architecture, applications, infrastructure and change processes.
• Provide commercially minded advice to senior leadership on cyber risk and security priorities.

Required profile

• Direct financial services experience, preferably in payments or merchant acquiring.
• Experience working for a Payment Service Provider (PSP) in a payments environment.
• Hands‑on experience with UAE Central Bank regulatory requirements.
• Ability to operate between regulation, technology and commercial realities.
• Proven cyber security leadership within a financial services context.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of cyber security governance, technology risk and regulatory controls.
• Experience operating within a matrix technology organization.
• Ability to work effectively with senior Technology, Risk, Compliance and business stakeholders.
• Pragmatic and commercially minded approach to cyber security.
