Data Engineer

About the role

You will assess complex new data sources and turn them into actionable business insights, while supporting their integration into our Azure data platform. The role involves designing and implementing robust, reusable data pipelines using the Microsoft and Databricks stack.

Key responsibilities

• Collect progress updates from the Squad, consolidate them into weekly status reports, and share with Squad Leads.
• Participate in early‑stage design and feature definition activities.
• Implement scalable data pipelines on Azure Databricks and ensure their integration with core intelligence products.
• Collaborate with multiple engineering teams to transition prototypes into production.
• Develop and manage L3‑level project plans with detailed tasks, milestones, and dependencies.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of practical experience in data engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure cloud services in a production environment.

Required skills

• Relational and non‑relational database technologies.
• Azure Databricks and Spark for ETL pipeline development.
• Programming in Python, Scala and SQL.
• Building JIRA dashboards and managing tasks.
• Azure DevOps for CI/CD deployment of data pipelines.
