Data Engineer – Python & Microservices

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team. You will design and develop scalable backend services, data processing frameworks, and RESTful APIs that power enterprise data‑driven applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and web frameworks using Python.
• Build robust RESTful APIs and microservices to serve enterprise datasets.
• Create and optimise data transformation pipelines for cleaning, enriching, and preparing data for analytics.
• Design and implement data access layers that integrate relational and NoSQL databases.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user‑facing components.
• Ensure applications are secure, highly available, performant, and maintainable.
• Design database schemas and data models aligned with business requirements.
• Implement ETL processes for large‑scale data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to long‑term platform stability.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and technical design discussions within Agile teams.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Python development and object‑oriented programming.
• Proven ability to build production‑grade backend services and APIs.
• Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery environments and collaborative teamwork.
