Data Protection Officer

About the role

Edenred UAE is seeking a Data Protection Officer to lead the deployment and monitoring of the Group’s data protection compliance framework in the UAE. The role works closely with legal, business, operational and IT teams in a highly regulated, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Roll‑out and monitor the Group data protection compliance programme locally, reporting progress.
• Deploy and adapt Group data protection tools such as One Trust for the UAE.
• Prepare and update local data protection documentation, conduct privacy impact assessments and maintain the personal data processing inventory.
• Manage data subject requests, support local projects for privacy‑by‑design, and coordinate incident response with IT.
• Act as the primary contact for local regulators and monitor regulatory developments.

Required profile

• Qualified in technology law or certified in personal data protection.
• At least 3 years of experience handling personal data protection issues in a law firm, international company or data protection authority.
• In‑depth knowledge of GDPR and related data protection regulations.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English; additional languages a plus.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage risks and facilitate corporate decision‑making.
