Data Science Manager

About the role

The Central Bank of the UAE is seeking a hands‑on Data Science Manager to join its Data Office. This execution‑driven position requires independent design, development, testing and deployment of advanced analytics and AI solutions while establishing technical standards and guiding best practices across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Identify AI use cases across all departments.
• Extract, mine and transform data from valuable sources.
• Use machine‑learning tools for feature selection, classifier creation and optimisation.
• Pre‑process structured and unstructured data.
• Enhance data‑collection procedures to ensure completeness for analytics and AI initiatives.
• Conduct deep exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns and anomalies.
• Build and deploy scalable predictive models and machine‑learning solutions.
• Communicate complex analytical findings in a clear, business‑friendly manner.
• Translate business problems into analytical solutions and recommend data‑driven strategies.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams and cross‑functional experts to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
• Provide coaching and technical guidance to SMEs and internal teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of data‑science methodologies, tools and governance frameworks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science or a related discipline.
• Proven hands‑on experience designing, developing, testing and deploying advanced analytics and AI solutions.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing a team of data‑science professionals.
• Ability to work closely with business and technology stakeholders to formulate and test hypotheses.
• UAE national status as required by the posting.
