Digital Product Expert – Proxy Product Owner (Retail Banking)

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Digital Product Expert to act as a Proxy Product Owner within our Retail Banking Group. You will partner with the Product Owner and an Agile squad to turn product strategy into tangible digital solutions and seamless customer journeys.

Key responsibilities

• Translate product strategy and business requirements into functional specifications, workflows, use cases, interfaces, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Gather and convert business needs into clear, actionable software requirements.
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog in alignment with the product roadmap.
• Ensure committed backlog items are delivered within each sprint.
• Contribute technically to sprint planning, refinement, retrospectives, and demos.
• Identify technology opportunities that support business goals.
• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and development teams to ensure seamless execution of digital initiatives.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, QA, UX, Governance, Compliance, and other stakeholders.
• Support testing, release readiness, and implementation activities.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in digital product, technical project delivery, business analysis, or software delivery.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
• Proven ability to gather requirements, write user stories, and manage backlogs.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Collaborative, delivery‑focused, proactive attitude with a strong can‑do mindset.
