Director, M&A & ECM – Dubai

About the role

An investment bank is seeking a Director‑level professional to lead both M&A advisory and Equity Capital Markets (ECM) activities from its Dubai office. The role is senior, sector‑agnostic and covers the GCC and wider EMEA region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute M&A transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, mergers, joint ventures and strategic advisory mandates.
• Lead and execute ECM transactions such as IPOs, follow‑on offerings, rights issues and accelerated book‑builds.
• Originate new business across M&A and ECM, building relationships with corporates, shareholders, financial sponsors and institutional investors.
• Manage transaction execution from pitch to completion, coordinating internal teams and external advisers.
• Develop senior‑level client relationships throughout the Middle East.
• Prepare financial analysis, valuation work, transaction structures, pitch materials and marketing documentation.
• Support senior leadership on business development and strategic opportunities in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the GCC.
• Mentor and develop junior investment banking team members.

Required profile

• 8–12 years of investment banking experience.
• Strong transaction experience in both M&A and ECM, including IPOs and follow‑on offerings.
• Demonstrated execution of M&A deals (acquisitions, disposals, strategic advisory).
• Middle East/GCC transaction experience is essential; EMEA experience is a plus.
• Excellent technical skills in financial modelling, valuation and transaction analysis.
