Director of Financial Planning & Analysis – Expert Freelance Role

About the role

We are partnering with a leading foundational AI lab to engage an experienced Director of Financial Planning & Analysis. You will train cutting‑edge language models on professional finance documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks, ensuring AI‑generated outputs meet the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create, evaluate, and refine AI‑generated financial documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks.
• Develop and maintain rolling forecast models, variance bridge decks, and driver‑based operating models.
• Produce board‑ready P&L decks and monthly flux commentary memos.
• Design scenario sensitivity models to support strategic decision‑making.
• Collaborate with AI researchers to improve model performance on finance‑specific tasks.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in FP&A or corporate finance building rolling forecasts, variance bridges, and driver‑based operating models.
• Proven track record of delivering board‑ready P&L decks and monthly flux commentary memos without rework.
• Expert‑level craftsmanship in documents, spreadsheets, and slide presentations.
• Excellent written communication and meticulous attention to detail.
