About the role

The Doorman at Sofitel Dubai The Palm provides a warm, professional welcome and farewell to all guests, ensuring a seamless arrival and departure experience. This role is essential to maintaining the resort’s reputation for French‑inspired elegance and exceptional hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests and visitors, assist with luggage, and escort them to the lobby or their vehicles.
• Monitor and direct traffic flow of taxis, limousines, buses and other vehicles, keeping driveways clear and ensuring safety.
• Provide accurate local directions, arrange transportation, and handle lost‑and‑found items.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area, coordinate with housekeeping, and manage valet and bell staff activities.
• Address guest complaints professionally, resolve issues to satisfaction, and report serious matters to supervisors.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a customer‑service role, preferably in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a polished, professional appearance.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure, stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
