Duct Fabricator

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Duct Fabricator to join our MEP/construction team in the United Arab Emirates. The role involves fabricating and preparing HVAC ductwork from shop drawings, ensuring high quality, accuracy and compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Fabricate HVAC ductwork according to approved drawings, dimensions and specifications.
• Read and interpret HVAC/MEP drawings and duct layouts.
• Take accurate measurements and calculate required duct dimensions and materials.
• Cut, bend, form and assemble GI sheet metal for ductwork.
• Produce various duct sections, fittings, bends, elbows, transitions and other components.
• Ensure proper dimensions, alignment and finishing of fabricated ductwork.
• Install and assemble ductwork at project sites when required.
• Coordinate with HVAC technicians, installers, supervisors and site engineers.
• Inspect fabricated ductwork for dimensional accuracy and defects.
• Minimize material wastage through precise measurement and cutting.
• Maintain tools and equipment, follow site safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
• Keep the fabrication area clean and organized, and report material needs or technical issues to the supervisor.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience as a Duct Fabricator in HVAC/MEP or construction projects.
• Practical knowledge of GI duct fabrication.
• Ability to read and understand HVAC/MEP drawings.
• Knowledge of duct measurements, dimensions and fabrication techniques.
• Experience fabricating duct fittings such as elbows, reducers, transitions and offsets.
• Familiarity with commercial, residential or large‑scale construction projects.
• Understanding of different duct materials, insulation requirements and accessories.
• Capability to work from shop and fabrication drawings and coordinate with installation teams.
