Electrical Inspector – Building Construction

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Electrical Inspector to join AECOM’s Abu Dhabi team, responsible for ensuring building construction projects meet all applicable electrical codes and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough electrical inspections at rough‑in, trim‑out and final stages, covering wiring, panels, circuits, grounding systems and safety devices.
• Verify compliance with UAE electrical codes, IEC standards and project specifications, documenting findings in detailed reports.
• Identify code violations, communicate deficiencies to project managers and contractors, and confirm corrective actions are completed.
• Maintain organized inspection records, photographs and test data, and coordinate with engineers and construction teams to resolve issues promptly.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical building construction inspection.
• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering.

Required skills

• Electrical inspection techniques and use of testing equipment.
• In‑depth knowledge of UAE electrical codes and IEC standards.
