Electrical Spare Parts Maintenance Engineer

About the role

An Oil and Gas Contractor requires an Electrical Spare Parts Maintenance Engineer to be assigned on a contract basis in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The position starts as soon as possible and runs for 2 years, renewable, on a schedule of 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Define, with the Spare Part Team Leader, the list of main equipment for which spare parts dossiers will be established.
• Define mechanical spare parts for maintenance and operation, and define and codify spare parts in SAP.
• Verify commissioning and start-up, and draw up capital spare parts lists.
• Draw up optimized spare parts lists and recover recommended spare parts lists from suppliers, vendors or manufacturers using Company SPL forms, as required in purchase orders.
• Analyze spare parts lists for purchased equipment and packages, and liaise with vendors, suppliers, manufacturers, EPC contractors and the company to clarify and consolidate the information.
• Draw up templates for material masters.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in maintenance for oil and gas production installations.
• Ability to work in a multinational team and in a client-service-oriented relationship.
• Competence or experience in the relevant specialties.
• Ability to take responsibility and communicate effectively with others.
• Full professional proficiency in English and French (spoken, read and written).
