The role covers designing, integrating, testing and maintaining safety-critical embedded software for aerospace systems, working in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain embedded software for avionics, flight control and aerospace systems.
• Implement and optimise real-time software with minimal latency, high reliability and deterministic performance.
• Collaborate with system engineers to turn control algorithms and requirements into efficient embedded code.
• Integrate software with hardware and test it rigorously against safety standards.
• Develop software in line with DO-178C and DO-254.
• Optimise code for memory, power and execution performance.
• Maintain documentation such as design specs, code, test plans and results.
• Work with hardware, systems and QA teams, and debug defects and performance issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master's/PhD preferred.
• Minimum 5-7 years of embedded software experience, preferably in aerospace or safety-critical industries.
• Ability to work under pressure and drive solutions from concept to deployment.

Required skills

• Strong hands-on C and C++ for embedded systems.
• Deep understanding of ARM and STM32 microcontrollers and low-level hardware interfacing.
