Emergency Medicine Consultant – UAE

About the role

A leading healthcare provider in the United Arab Emirates is looking for an experienced Emergency Medicine Consultant to join its high‑acuity emergency, trauma and resuscitation services. This full‑time position offers the chance to work in a modern, multidisciplinary environment with state‑of‑the‑art facilities and a diverse patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Lead assessment and stabilisation of emergency, trauma, cardiac, medical, surgical and paediatric cases.
• Manage resuscitation, airway management, procedural sedation and critical decision‑making in the emergency department.
• Tri­age complex presentations, supervise emergency teams and coordinate specialist referrals.
• Ensure safe patient flow, observation unit decisions, transfers and discharge planning.
• Participate in disaster preparedness, trauma protocols, simulation training and clinical governance.
• Maintain accurate emergency documentation and ensure medico‑legal compliance.

Required profile

• Internationally recognised specialist qualification in Emergency Medicine (e.g., ABEM, UK CCT/FRCEM, European Board, Royal College Canada, FACEM, Arab Board, MD/DNB/FCPS).
• Eligibility for UAE medical licensing and facility credentialing.
• Proven experience in high‑volume emergency departments with trauma and critical care exposure.
