Emirati Architect – Sustainable Design at WSP

About the role

WSP in the Middle East is looking for a talented Emirati architect to join its multidisciplinary Architecture team. The role involves contributing to high‑profile, sustainable projects across various sectors, supporting concept development through to detailed design and delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop concept, schematic and detailed architectural designs for diverse project types.
• Create high‑quality drawings, BIM models, visualisations and presentations using industry‑standard software.
• Collaborate with structural, MEP, sustainability and other engineering disciplines to ensure coordinated design outcomes.
• Prepare design reports, technical specifications and documentation at each project stage.
• Participate in site visits, inspections, surveys and compliance checks.
• Support senior architects and project managers to deliver project packages on time and to quality standards.
• Contribute to internal design reviews, stakeholder meetings and coordination workshops.
• Research materials, technologies, building codes and design trends to drive innovation.

Required profile

• UAE National with a valid Family Book.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in an architectural or design consultancy.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating creative design thinking and technical capability.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and manage time effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
