Endocrinology Specialist Physician

About the role

A qualified and experienced Specialist Physician in Endocrinology is sought to assess, diagnose, treat and manage patients with endocrine and metabolic disorders. The role works closely with multidisciplinary clinical teams to deliver patient-centred care in line with clinical standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage endocrine and metabolic conditions such as diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders, obesity, osteoporosis, pituitary and adrenal disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment and follow-up plans.
• Request and interpret laboratory and diagnostic investigations.
• Educate patients on disease management, medication adherence, lifestyle change and prevention.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, dietitians and other professionals for coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and take part in clinical audits, quality improvement, CME and departmental programmes.

Required profile

• MBBS/MBChB or equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification or board certification in Endocrinology, Endocrinology & Diabetes or Internal Medicine, with specialization in Endocrinology.
• Valid DOH Abu Dhabi license or DOH eligibility as a Specialist in Endocrinology.
• Post-qualification clinical experience in Endocrinology.
• Strong clinical knowledge of diabetes and other endocrine disorders.
• Excellent communication and patient-management skills.
• Arabic-speaking candidates are highly preferred; experience in the Abu Dhabi or GCC healthcare sector is an advantage.
