About the role
Dow Jones is seeking an experienced Energy Journalist/Editor to produce breaking news and insights across energy and commodity sectors, focusing initially on markets west of Suez.
Key responsibilities
- Originate and author breaking news and analytical pieces on energy trading, international policy, and geopolitics.
- Source, analyze, and interpret diverse energy and commodity data sets for reporting.
- Create short‑form video reels that visually explain key energy topics.
- Collaborate with editors, writers, and price reporters to integrate Dow Jones Energy price assessments into stories.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of newsroom journalism experience.
- Strong portfolio of energy‑focused breaking news and exclusive interviews.
- Deep understanding of physical energy, commodity markets, and energy trading.
