Environmental Technician - Offshore Dredging Project

About the role

Dome Group is looking for an Environmental Technician to join its environmental team in Abu Dhabi. The role centres on practical environmental monitoring, field sampling and factual reporting, with deployment to a remote offshore project site supporting dredging works.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out environmental monitoring and field sampling according to project requirements and approved methods.
• Undertake marine water/sediment, soil and groundwater sampling, ambient air quality monitoring and noise surveys as required.
• Operate environmental survey and sampling equipment and keep accurate field observations and monitoring records.
• Consolidate survey results and prepare clear, factual environmental monitoring notes and reports.
• Support terrestrial and marine ecology surveys and other environmental site activities.
• Coordinate field activities and reporting with the environmental team and site representatives, following project and site safety procedures.
• Support environmental documentation and administrative work, and carry out assignments from the Environmental Team Lead.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Ecology or a relevant discipline; engineering graduates with an environmental background and relevant qualifications may also apply.
• At least 3 years of experience as an Environmental Field Technician or in a comparable environmental monitoring and sampling role.
• Willingness to be based at a remote offshore site and do field-based work.

Required skills

• Practical experience in marine/sediment, soil, groundwater, ambient air quality and noise sampling and monitoring.
• Ability to operate environmental survey and sampling equipment and maintain accurate field data and records.
• Ability to work independently and prepare clear, factual environmental monitoring reports.
