Estimation Engineer - LV Switchgear

About the role

Emirates Electrical Engineering, part of Al Rostamani Group, offers turnkey electrical power projects such as high voltage substations, cable networks and transmission lines, as well as solar rooftop solutions. It is looking for an Estimation Engineer to handle technical sales and estimation for low voltage (LV) systems projects, identify new business opportunities in commercial buildings, data centres, oil & gas and utility sectors, and coordinate with clients, consultants and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, BOQs and pricing for LV systems and submit tenders on time in line with tender requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and contractors to understand project needs, and prepare techno-commercial proposals.
• Support project and tendering, negotiations and order closure, and provide technical support before and after bids.
• Achieve assigned sales targets and revenue goals while maintaining strong client relationships.
• Maintain good relations with the OEM partner and align with engineering, procurement and project teams.
• Contribute to value addition, cost reduction, resource utilization, quality management, documentation and process improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical, Electronics or a related field.
• 5-6 years of relevant experience in sales and estimation of LV systems; UAE market experience preferred.
• Proven exposure to commercial buildings, data centres, BMS, oil & gas and utility projects.
• Valid UAE driving licence.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of LV and ELV systems, including BMS and data centre LV infrastructure.
• Understanding of tender documents, drawings, specifications and contract conditions.
• Knowledge of UAE authority regulations (DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, ADCD, Civil Defence, Etisalat/DU ELV scope) and international standards.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word and estimation tools.
• Communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
