Executive - Compliance Advisory

About the role

The Executive – Compliance Advisory leads the second line of defence for regulatory, conduct and financial crime risk across NBF’s diverse business lines. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, this senior role provides independent, trusted advice to Wholesale Banking, Business Banking, Retail, Wealth Management and Treasury.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor and 2LOD partner for multiple business units, delivering compliance guidance on regulatory, conduct, AML/CTF and sanctions matters.
• Lead a team of four experienced compliance managers, allocating primary business responsibilities while fostering a collaborative functional approach.
• Develop, implement and maintain compliance policies and processes, steering key regulatory change projects.
• Address compliance findings from internal or external reviews and support the broader compliance assurance programme.
• Assist the Head of Compliance in delivering consistent, high‑quality advice and service standards to internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of banking compliance or assurance experience, including at least 5 years in a comparable senior advisory role.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a high‑performing compliance team.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, conduct risk, AML/CTF and sanctions frameworks within the banking sector.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior business leaders.
