Facility Assistant

About the role

The Facility Assistant will oversee day‑to‑day operations and maintenance of assigned facilities in the Abu Dhabi region. You will ensure that all sites run efficiently, comply with safety and regulatory standards, and support the organisation’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations and maintenance of assigned facilities to ensure optimal functionality.
• Ensure compliance with safety, operational and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate and monitor contractor performance, guaranteeing work meets agreements and quality standards.
• Address stakeholder concerns promptly and provide effective solutions.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records of maintenance schedules, operational tasks and contractor performance.
• Liaise with relevant entities to ensure legal and statutory compliance.
• Monitor facility performance, recommend improvements and lead site inspections, audits and evaluations.
• Prepare purchase orders in SAP, reconcile vendor statements and follow up on payments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering, Facilities Management or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of proven experience in site management or facilities operations.
• Strong knowledge of facility management systems, maintenance protocols and safety standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for managing contractors and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Certification in health and safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is an advantage.
