Finance Associate – Retail Hypermarket (UAE)

About the role

The Finance Associate will support MAF Retail’s hypermarket operations in the UAE by ensuring accurate financial postings across payables, payroll, assets and general ledgers. You will work closely with the finance team to maintain data integrity and comply with established accounting principles.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and verify financial data related to accounting.
• Maintain and review purchase ledgers, ensuring expenses are posted accurately and monitored against budget.
• Review and process vendor invoices and payments, including advances and penalties.
• Prepare bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts.
• Review adjusting entries and keep supplier accounts up‑to‑date.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual accounting statements and managerial reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2‑4 years of relevant experience, preferably in FMCG or hypermarket environments.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
