Financial Controller

About the role

Waagner Biro, a leading construction firm in the Middle East, is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to support the Regional Finance Director and lead finance operations across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership to Accounting, Working Capital, COS and ERP teams, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial reporting, lead month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes, and maintain strong internal controls.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning, delivering insightful analysis of performance, risks and opportunities.
• Oversee project financial performance, profitability reporting and commercial risk assessment.
• Govern finance systems, drive process improvement, automation initiatives and ERP enhancements.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field and professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
• Significant senior finance experience in a multi‑entity, project‑based environment.
• Proven leadership, stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to challenge assumptions and influence decisions.
