Financial Controlling Manager – GBS

About the role

As a Financial Controlling Manager within the Global Business Services (GBS) function, you will lead the development and implementation of accounting policies, internal controls and automation initiatives for the division. You will work closely with Group Finance and shared service centres to ensure compliance with IAS/IFRS standards and to deliver high‑quality financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Group and Divisional Policy and Advisory Head in designing internal control frameworks and standardisation processes.
• Draft, review and roll out divisional accounting policies, providing technical analysis for new implementations.
• Deliver training sessions on IAS, IFRS and accounting policies to finance and operations teams.
• Provide guidance on complex accounting judgments and stay current with standards.
• Coordinate balance‑sheet substantiation, trial‑balance reviews and periodic KPI/SLA assessments.
• Manage audit preparation, liaise with auditors for certifications and track audit progress.
• Drive adoption of AI and automation tools to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of IAS/IFRS and experience in developing accounting policies.
• Proven ability to implement internal controls and lead process‑improvement projects.
• Excellent communication skills for training and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience working with shared service centres and cross‑functional finance teams.
