Financial Operations Lead for Digital‑First Financial Services

About the role

The Financial Operations Lead is responsible for the day‑to‑day general ledger, journal processing, close execution, reconciliations and finance‑initiated payments. The role ensures accurate transaction recording, robust controls and audit‑ready books from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Run daily general ledger and journal processing, ensuring timely and accurate transaction recording.
• Execute the accounting close and deliver substantiated ledger balances to the reporting team.
• Own reconciliation across organization, nostro, suspense and control accounts, clearing exceptions promptly.
• Operate finance‑initiated payments (vendor, payroll, tax, treasury) under strong authorisation and segregation‑of‑duties controls.
• Support financial‑statement preparation with accurate ledger data and schedules.
• Build an AI‑enabled reconciliation and close capability that scales with volume.

Required profile

• 8+ years in accounting operations, general ledger or reconciliations within banking or financial services.
• Proven experience building accounting operations processes and controls in a regulated or greenfield environment.
• Strong knowledge of CBUAE expectations and applicable IFRS standards.
• Ability to think beyond manual processes and drive automation or AI‑enabled solutions.
