Financial Reporting (Executive Level)

About the role

PACT Employment is recruiting for an executive-level Financial Reporting position in Dubai. The role manages the bank's financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cost control, ensuring accurate and timely financial information in line with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. It covers consolidated statements, operating and capital expenditure, audit coordination, month-end and year-end closing, and provides financial guidance to business departments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance on revenue and cost booking from a financial and accounting perspective.
• Oversee the bank's operating and capital expenditure processes and direct the departments involved.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements of the group (bank and subsidiaries) according to relevant laws and regulatory standards, then submit them to the Head of Financial Reporting for review.
• Coordinate with statutory auditors from planning through to completion of the audit so their requirements are met on time.
• Assist in preparing the annual cost budget and validate the figures by building controls around cost numbers with the business.
• Prepare forecasts of bank operating expenditures and validate them with appropriate controls.
• Manage monthly tracking of capex and projects with stakeholders and maintain controls.
• Develop cost drivers, highlight risks and opportunities, and measure actual costs through regular stakeholder coordination.
• Manage accounting entries for new products and get them approved by all stakeholders.
• Submit ad-hoc reports on time and accurately to support decision making.
• Drive the month-end and year-end closing process.
