Fire Alarm First Responder

About the role

Serco is building a talent pool of Fire Alarm First Responders (FAFR) to provide rapid initial response to fire alarm activations across designated zones in Dubai. The role operates 24/7/365 on a 12‑hour shift pattern, requiring swift action within three minutes of an alarm.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to fire alarm signals, assess the situation, and confirm whether a fire is present.
• Coordinate evacuation with client staff, ensuring retail, restaurant and back‑of‑house areas are cleared safely.
• Conduct periodic inspections of portable fire extinguishers and perform housekeeping checks in patrol zones.
• Report false alarms and provide detailed incident information to the Control Room Operator.

Required profile

• High school certificate, diploma or degree in any relevant field.
• Completed training as a Fire Warden or Security Staff, with some related work experience preferred.
• Strong communication and multitasking abilities, able to work independently and as part of a team.
