Fitter

About the role

Nxtek Yantra Pvt Ltd is hiring a fitter. The role covers assembling and installing mechanical parts and equipment, inspecting and testing them, repairing faults and carrying out routine maintenance, and modifying or fabricating components.

Key responsibilities

• Fit and assemble mechanical parts and components according to blueprints, technical drawings or instructions.
• Install equipment, machinery or structural elements at the designated location.
• Inspect parts and materials for quality and conformance to specifications.
• Test systems to make sure they work correctly after installation.
• Troubleshoot and repair faulty machinery, and carry out routine maintenance to prevent failures.
• Cut, shape and weld materials to modify or fabricate components, keeping measurements and alignment accurate.
• Follow workplace safety rules, wear protective gear and comply with industry standards and company policies.

Required profile

• High school, diploma or equivalent education.
• Certification in mechanical fitting, welding or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience as a fitter or in a similar role.

Required skills

• Reading technical drawings and blueprints.
• Using hand and power tools.
• Basic welding and metal fabrication skills are a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
