About the role
A large energy organization is seeking a Fixed Asset Accountant to manage accounting for high-value infrastructure and IT assets. The role requires hands-on experience in fixed asset accounting within asset-intensive environments.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and control the fixed asset register for infrastructure and IT assets.
- Handle capitalization, depreciation, impairment and asset disposals.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal accounting policies.
- Support audits, asset verification and reconciliation processes.
- Partner with IT, procurement and engineering teams on asset tracking and valuation.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 5 years of fixed asset accounting experience, ideally in oil & gas, utilities or heavy industry.
- Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CA) is a strong advantage.
