Food and Beverage Attendant

About the role

Accor is hiring a Food and Beverage Attendant for its Mercure Abu Dhabi Downtown hotel. The role centres on delivering professional, friendly and engaging service to guests, with full knowledge of the menu, beverages and outlet policies.

Key responsibilities

• Offer professional, friendly, warm and engaging service to guests
• Know the outlet policies, procedures and service standards, and assist guests about menu items in an informative way
• Know the menu and beverage lists, promotions, menu items, garnishes, contents and food preparation methods
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
• Report to work on time in a neat, clean uniform and name badge
• Understand shift end reports, non-cash and cash transactions, and procedures for deposits and collecting due backs
• Attend pre-meal briefings, weekly and monthly meetings to improve the guest experience
• Count linen properly at the end of each shift
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Fluent English is a must; Arabic speaking is an asset
• Highly responsible and reliable
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and in a team
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities

Required skills

• Previous Micros experience is an asset, but not required (training provided)
