Freelance Senior Project Manager – Events & Construction

About the role

Maestra, a leading supplier for events, exhibitions and live experiences in the Middle East, is seeking a Freelance Senior Project Manager on a short‑term, project‑based basis. You will lead complex event, exhibition, temporary‑structure and modular‑construction projects from inception to handover, ensuring safety, quality, schedule and budget compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full project lifecycle including planning, budgeting, procurement, resource allocation, execution and close‑out.
• Manage programmes, timelines, budgets, deliverables and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Oversee on‑site activities, enforcing quality, health, safety and operational standards.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks while resolving issues promptly.
• Monitor performance, costs, schedules and resources to meet commercial and operational goals.
• Facilitate clear communication among stakeholders and provide regular progress updates.
• Lead project teams, ensuring accountability and high performance.
• Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of project management experience in events, exhibitions, temporary structures, modular construction or related production fields.
• Proven track record of delivering large‑scale, fast‑track projects.
• Strong commercial awareness and budget management capability.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Solid problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Experience working across the GCC region.
