About the role
Beema, a remote Ruby on Rails start-up offering digitised insurance products and solutions, is looking for a full-stack engineer to join its small team of experienced developers. The company values calm, focused work and does not use microservices or client-side frameworks such as React; instead it aims for high performance through server-side rendering (Turbolinks / Hotwire, caching).
Required profile
- 5+ years of professional experience with Ruby / Ruby on Rails
- Enjoys writing code in a diverse, multiskilled development team
- Believes that writing tests as part of development is fundamental
- Passion for solving customer frictions through simple, effective software
Required skills
- Ruby and Ruby on Rails
- Postgres, Sidekiq and Redis
- Front-end knowledge: JavaScript, CSS and HTML
