Garden Supervisor

About the role

The Garden Supervisor is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and preventative upkeep of garden tools, equipment, and related systems at Le Meridien in Dubai. This role ensures safety compliance, supports guest service requests, and assists management with staff development.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, calibrate, and recommend replacement of garden tools, appliances, and equipment.
• Perform life‑safety checks including fire‑pump and generator run tests, and inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems.
• Manage inventory, order parts, and maintain purchase order logs.
• Respond to guest repair requests and ensure compliance with safety and security policies.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and coaching garden staff.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• At least 2 years of related garden or facilities maintenance experience.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.

Required skills

• Operation of power lifts and other garden equipment.
• Calibration of controls, gauges, and meters.
• Conducting fire‑pump, generator, and fire‑sprinkler system tests.
• Inventory management and use of computer systems for tracking parts and supplies.
