About the role

JA Hatta Fort Hotel, nestled in the Hajar Mountains, is looking for a dedicated and hardworking Gardener to help maintain and enhance its landscaped gardens and outdoor areas. The role suits someone who takes pride in creating and keeping beautiful outdoor spaces.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of gardening or landscaping experience, preferably in a hotel, resort or similar environment.
• High school certificate or equivalent preferred; certification or training in horticulture, landscaping or gardening is an advantage.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Basic communication skills in English; a positive attitude, reliability and willingness to learn.

Required skills

• Knowledge of plant care, irrigation systems, pruning, planting and lawn maintenance.
• Ability to identify common plant diseases and pests and take corrective action.
• Experience operating and maintaining basic gardening tools and equipment safely.
• Good understanding of horticultural and landscaping practices.
• Knowledge of safe handling and storage of fertilizers, pesticides and gardening chemicals.
• Familiarity with health and safety practices related to landscaping and grounds maintenance.
