General Accountant – Business Setup (Dubai)

About the role
This full-time, on-site position in Business Bay, Dubai, supports the business-setup team by managing all accounting activities related to company formation.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain ledgers and prepare accurate financial statements for newly formed entities.
- Reconcile accounts and ensure compliance with UAE financial and audit regulations.
- Assist clients with tax registrations, including VAT and corporate tax.
- Support budgeting and forecasting during the business-setup phase.
- Collaborate closely with the business-setup team to deliver timely accounting services.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of UAE accounting standards, regulatory and audit requirements.
- Experience in tax compliance, specifically VAT and corporate tax.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate with clients.
Required skills
- Proficiency with accounting software such as Zoho or QuickBooks.
- Ledger management and financial reporting.
- VAT and corporate tax compliance.
- Understanding of UAE regulatory requirements.
