General Practitioner – Primary Care

About the role

HealthPlus Family Health Center is seeking a compassionate General Practitioner to deliver comprehensive primary healthcare across its clinics in Al Bandar, Al Forsan, and Saadiyat Island. The role involves diagnosing, treating and managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions while promoting preventive health.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient consultations, medical assessments and physical examinations.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses in line with clinical best practices.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and prescribe medications.
• Provide preventive services such as health screenings, vaccinations and lifestyle counselling.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Refer patients to specialists when appropriate and manage follow‑up care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits and patient safety programmes.

Required profile

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience as a General Practitioner in a hospital, medical centre or primary care setting.
• Eligibility for a DOH, DHA or MOH licence to practise in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of primary care, preventive medicine and chronic disease management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient‑centred approach.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
