Generalist Human Resources

About the role

Bulgari Hotels & Resorts, a portfolio of brands owned by Marriott International, is looking for a Generalist Human Resources associate for its resort in Jumeirah Bay Island, Dubai. The role supports management and the leadership team with HR issues, assists employees with transfers, helps managers with hiring, and keeps employee records and hiring processes compliant with local, state and federal laws.

Key responsibilities

• Assist management and the leadership team with HR issues and resolve them
• Help employees with internal and external transfer requests and procedures
• Monitor and assist managers and supervisors with hiring processes and issues
• Coordinate and run applicant drug screens, reference checks, background checks, motor vehicle checks and social security number verification
• Maintain applicant flow, drug screen, orientation and transfer request logs
• Create and maintain new hire and personnel files and enter them into HR information systems
• Assist with new employee orientation and train new hires on HR processes, programs, policies and information systems
• Monitor hiring and recruitment processes for compliance with laws and company policies, and keep employee records such as interview documents and I-9s accurate
• Support payroll record processing and maintenance as needed
• Report employee relations issues to HR management, create and maintain filing systems, and generate HR data reports
• Answer calls, record messages, type office correspondence and act as an HR subject matter expert on project teams

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• At least 1 year of related work experience
• No supervisory experience required
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push and pull objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance
