About the role
GEMS Wellington International School in Dubai is looking for an enthusiastic Geography Teacher to cover a maternity leave starting in January 2027. The role is full‑time and will involve delivering the Secondary A‑Level Geography curriculum while upholding the school’s values of integrity, empathy and fortitude.
Required profile
- Demonstrates the core values of integrity, empathy and fortitude.
- Holds a BEd or Bachelor’s degree with a PGCE/PGDE or equivalent qualification.
- Has proven experience teaching Secondary A‑Level Geography.
- Collaborates willingly and shares best practice with colleagues.
- Maintains a growth mindset, being reflective and solution‑focused.
- Shows creativity and enthusiasm in teaching methods.
- Possesses excellent interpersonal skills for working with colleagues, students and parents.
- Committed to contributing positively to the school community through extracurricular and community events.
Required skills
- Qualified to teach Geography at secondary level (A‑Level).
- Experience delivering curriculum and assessing student progress.
