Graduate Civil Engineer - Ground Engineering (Emirati)

About the role

WSP, a global engineering professional services consultancy, is hiring a Graduate Civil Engineer for its Ground Engineering team in Sharjah. The role supports key infrastructure and property projects across the UAE and is designed specifically for Emirati graduates, offering structured development, mentorship and hands-on project exposure.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing technical designs, reports and presentations.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams across the project life cycle.
• Support project documentation and ensure quality and compliance with UAE codes and standards.
• Learn and apply digital engineering tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS and Plaxis.
• Support geotechnical assessments, site investigations and interpretation of ground conditions under the guidance of experienced engineers.
• Attend client and stakeholder meetings and support the preparation of technical deliverables.
• Contribute to team discussions, problem solving and creative design thinking.

Required profile

• UAE national (Emirati) with a valid Emirates ID and Family Book.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Strong interest in ground/geotechnical engineering, site investigations or stakeholder engagement.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, Plaxis or similar is a plus.
