Guest Services Officer

About the role

The Guest Services Officer is the first point of contact for patients and visitors at Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Hospital. The role ensures smooth preregistration, registration, appointment scheduling, and financial transactions while delivering a high standard of customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors, verify identification, and collect demographic and insurance information.
• Perform insurance eligibility checks, explain out‑of‑pocket responsibilities, and obtain required patient signatures.
• Distribute patient rights documents and ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Manage appointment scheduling, follow‑ups, reminders, and coordinate patient visits.
• Handle cash collection, billing transactions, reconciliation, and deposits according to financial procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service, maintain confidentiality, and address patient inquiries and complaints.
• Support operational needs such as shift work, roster coverage, and front‑desk coordination.
• Perform general administrative duties including answering phones and responding to emails.
