Head Bartender

About the role

We are seeking a Head Bartender to lead the bar operations at Dukes The Palm Dubai Hotel, part of the Colbert Collection by Minor Hotels. The successful candidate will oversee a team of bartenders, design innovative cocktail menus and uphold the highest standards of service and safety in a luxury hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct weekly training sessions on beverage pouring, cocktail mixing, bottle flaring and upselling techniques.
• Supervise, coach and schedule bartending staff to ensure smooth service.
• Create and regularly update cocktail menus that reflect the brand’s character.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations.
• Manage bar inventory, place orders and monitor beverage costs.
• Ensure cleanliness, organization and consistent quality of all drinks served.
• Deliver excellent customer service, resolve guest complaints and promote a positive work environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Head Bartender in a luxury hotel with at least 500 rooms; pre‑opening experience is an advantage.
• Strong organizational, multitasking and shift‑flexibility skills to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective communication and active listening abilities.
