Head Mixologist

About the role

The Head Mixologist leads the cocktail and beverage programme for a premium venue, ensuring high standards of quality, creativity and commercial performance. Reporting to the Bar Manager, this senior role combines advanced mixology expertise with team leadership and operational discipline.

Key responsibilities

• Own execution and consistency of the cocktail and beverage menu, adhering to approved recipes and presentation standards.
• Lead and mentor bartenders and barbacks, set technical standards, and deliver on‑the‑job training.
• Actively manage bar service during peak periods, engage with guests and ensure a premium experience.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, stock control and waste reduction across bar stations.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of experience in cocktail‑focused bar environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of classic and modern mixology.
• Proven leadership and training capability.
• Calm, confident presence during high‑volume service and excellent guest communication.
