Head Mixologist

About the role

The Lana - Dorchester Collection is hiring a Head Mixologist through its partner Hosco in Dubai. The role is responsible for setting the standard of beverages across the hotel, training and mentoring the bar team, and driving the quality of the beverage programme.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure beverage standards in all areas are exceptional, in line with Dorchester Collection values
• Train, coach and mentor the bar team, modelling operational excellence and supporting continuous professional development
• Share deep product knowledge with internal teams and guests
• Design innovative, seasonally inspired cocktail programmes reflecting global mixology trends
• Collaborate with the culinary team on food and beverage pairings for special events, tastings and VIP guests
• Build relationships with premium vendors for exclusive spirits, rare vintages and sustainable local ingredients
• Manage inventory control, waste reduction and portion standards to maximise profitability
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, food hygiene and liquor licensing regulations
• Maintain bar tools, glassware and equipment to peak efficiency
