Head of Business Development

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Business Development to lead growth initiatives for a client in the events and experiential sector. The role focuses on driving revenue, securing new opportunities, and expanding the client portfolio across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement business development strategies to drive revenue growth.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities within the events and experiential industry.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners and key stakeholders.
• Lead client pitches, proposals, negotiations and contract discussions.
• Manage the business development pipeline, sales forecasts and revenue targets.
• Identify new markets, industry trends and commercial opportunities.
• Collaborate with creative, production and operations teams to develop competitive proposals.
• Lead and mentor the business development team to achieve commercial objectives.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in business development, sales or commercial leadership within events, experiential, entertainment or related industries.
• Proven track record of generating new business and achieving revenue targets.
• Strong network of industry contacts and client relationships.
• Experience managing major accounts, tenders, proposals and contract negotiations.
• Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
• Experience working within GCC markets would be advantageous.
