Head of Commercial – Private UAE Market

About the role

The Head of Commercial will lead the commercial strategy for the private pharmaceutical market in the UAE. Reporting to senior leadership, you will drive revenue growth, profitability and market expansion through effective sales and key‑account management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the Sales and Key Account Management teams across the UAE.
• Own full P&L responsibility for commercial operations, ensuring sustainable profit.
• Produce accurate sales forecasts and demand plans based on market trends and historical data.
• Implement and optimise CRM systems for medical representatives to improve productivity and reporting.
• Plan field force deployment, territory alignment and coverage optimisation.
• Conduct performance reviews, set KPIs and monitor team achievement.
• Drive product listing in hospitals, pharmacies and clinics.
• Build strong relationships with healthcare providers, distributors and key accounts.
• Coordinate with Marketing to execute campaigns, product launches and strategic initiatives.
• Identify new business opportunities, market gaps and competitive insights.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Medicine or related field (MBA preferred).
• Minimum 15 years of pharmaceutical experience, including at least 5 years in a senior commercial leadership role in the UAE.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing high‑performing teams.
• Deep knowledge of UAE healthcare market dynamics and regulatory environment.
