Head of Commercial – Private UAE Market

About the role

The Head of Commercial will lead the commercial strategy for Julphar’s private market in the UAE, overseeing sales and key account management teams to drive revenue, profitability and market expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop the Sales and KAM teams across the UAE to exceed sales targets.
• Own full P&L responsibility for UAE commercial operations, ensuring sustainable growth.
• Develop accurate sales forecasts and demand plans based on market trends and business objectives.
• Implement and optimise CRM systems for medical representatives to improve productivity and reporting.
• Plan field force deployment, territory alignment and coverage optimisation.
• Conduct performance reviews, set KPIs and monitor team achievements.
• Drive product listing in hospitals, pharmacies and clinics.
• Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, distributors and key accounts.
• Coordinate with Marketing to execute campaigns, product launches and strategic initiatives.
• Identify new business opportunities, market gaps and competitive insights.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, medicine or a related field (MBA preferred).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 5 years in a senior commercial leadership role in the UAE.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing high‑performing teams.
• Strong knowledge of the UAE healthcare market dynamics and regulatory environment.
