Head of Events

About the role

The Head of Events will lead the end‑to‑end planning, production, and delivery of a diverse portfolio of large‑scale corporate and luxury events. Reporting to senior leadership, this role combines strategic vision with hands‑on execution to ensure every event meets the highest standards of quality, profitability, and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full lifecycle of events, from concept through post‑event analysis.
• Lead, mentor, and scale an internal team of event managers, coordinators, and technical producers.
• Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with top‑tier local and international suppliers, fabrication teams, and AV vendors.
• Control comprehensive event budgets, maximize profitability, and manage the P&L for the events department.
• Act as the senior point of contact for key clients, translating their vision into flawless operational reality.
• Ensure strict compliance with Dubai Tourism (DET) regulations, DTCM ticketing laws, and health & safety standards.

Required profile

• 8+ years of event management experience, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role within an agency or event services business.
• Deep knowledge of the Dubai/UAE events landscape, venues, local regulations, and premium supplier networks.
• Exceptional organisational ability to juggle multiple high‑pressure projects simultaneously.
• Calm‑under‑pressure crisis manager who thrives in fast‑paced, live‑event environments.
• Flawless English communication skills; Arabic fluency is a strong plus.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required by the event calendar.
