Head of Legal Affairs

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Legal Affairs to lead our Legal Affairs Department and provide strategic legal support across the organization. The role will be based in the United Arab Emirates and will focus on ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations, particularly those applicable in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Legal Affairs Department, advising senior management on legal matters.
• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, agreements, MoUs and other legal documents.
• Ensure compliance with United Emirates laws, regulations and government requirements.
• Provide legal advice on commercial, employment, corporate, regulatory and operational issues.
• Monitor legislative changes and advise management on their impact.
• Manage legal risks, disputes, claims and coordinate litigation with external counsel.
• Liaise with government authorities, regulators and external stakeholders.
• Develop and improve legal policies, procedures, controls and governance frameworks.
• Support business teams in identifying and mitigating legal and regulatory risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in law.
• Strong experience in legal affairs, preferably within the United Emirates.
• Excellent knowledge of United Emirates laws and Dubai regulatory requirements.
• Proven expertise in contracts, corporate matters, compliance and dispute resolution.
• Strong communication, negotiation, analytical and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work closely with senior management and government entities.
